HELP:!!!Canon 350d Remote Shooting

Ive a problem running the remote shooting capability of my canon rebel xt. I am using canon's camera window software for this. I set the camera on pc connection but my imac cant seem to detect my camera. Is there something I am doing wrong? what should i do? HELP

Tried using eos capture but that doesnt seem to work too...

there is a sequence of how to properly connect the camera. whether which gets plugged first and where. it's in the user guide of the software downloadable at canon.

ensure too that no other app is trying to compete for camera control/access, e.g. iPhoto.

"Please note, with the update of OS 10.4.7, we are experiencing an issue with USB communications. If you are using a Non-Intel chipped Mac, you may be able to download images in "PTP/Print" mode in any Canon software. Remote shooting will be impossible through either EOS Capture, Remote Capture or Camera Window. Currently, our only suggestion is to revert back to Mac OS 10.4.6 if you wish to keep USB communication and remote shooting capabilities.

Our engineers have been notified and are currently investigating the cause of this issue."
