Default The D70 and custom curves

I just loaded a Digital_Agfa_Optima custom curve on my D70 and I'm very happy with the results. I've justed started using custom curves and there are loads of them pala online!
Do you curves users have any favorites out there?

You can load a custom curve using Nikon Capture 4.1. Here's a link where you can download the manual and read more about it.

I also use Agfa Optima as a custom curve but it is only used when I open my photos using the Nikon Capture software, and since I use PhotoShop CS to open my RAW files these days, then it is not utilized anymore. It is still loaded in my camera though. It is the most versatile curve for all around shots based on dpreview people and my limited personal experience.

Hi Jonathan, ikaw ba yan? Welcome to Philmug. May kasamang CD yan although you can only use it for free for only a month, after which you have to buy the software online to continue using it. I don't use it anymore though. Photoshop CS is the way to go, for me at least. The Nikon Capture software is mandatory though if you have to upgrade the firmware, although there's none at the moment. You have the D70 din ba? Anyway, the present firmware is OK so "Why trouble trouble when trouble does not trouble you?"

I can't remember how much I paid for it, but I suggest that if you have Photoshop, you stick with it. You have to change the RAW Plug-in from the Generic Raw to the one compatible with the D70. I read it from the DPReview forums.

Hi what kind of custom curve do you usually use. Can you recommend for indoor gathering.

I'm not a master at curves to be able to give you a good answer, but fotogenic seems to know a lot about them.
