to Canon 350D,20D buyers - don you just hate this?
I mean, dont you really just hate this?
You spend 65K and more, and all you get for a freebie is a crummy jacket that doesnt look like the one in the print ads, and then...
You find out some people buy a camera** worth (estimated) just about half the price of your camera, and they get THIS! Its a VADER MP3 Player And I guess its worth more than the crummy-not-up-to-spec jacket. C'mon, where justice in that?
I saw this when I came in to canon service center to deliver my defective 350D for warranty replacement. Something's loose and shaking inside of it, and for a precision equipment like a camera, that's not normal, so I decided to invoke warranty. I just hope they replace it, rather than just fix it.
It's just right that you bring it to the service center for any defects. I know around 10 happy 350D customers without any problems with their unit, so baka minalas ka lang.
With regards to the freebie, hey it's free so why complain? I remember my wife buying the previous 300D for more than the price of the 350D. Basically the 350D is a much better camera with a cheaper price- currently around P54,500 in Quiapo. For this alone, the end user is lucky. But then again, in your case you got a bad unit so hopefully Canon gets that repaired soon.

Hi Tantin,
The rattling sound might be coming from the device that triggers the orientation sensor.
It's usually normal.
I didnt hear it sound that loud before. I was really worried that there might be some loose parts and that it might hit the sensor, or any other sensitive parts, or short some circuitry. I'm not sure what it is, and since the sound isn't that normal, I decided to bring it in na. I even consulted with the retailer, and he said I should ask for a warranty replacement of the unit.
Don't look now Ditoy and Tantin, but I hear the 350D is going for 51.5K at JT's ...
