Hi Guys,

I'd like to seek your expertise. I would like to get into photography and would like to ask where a newbie like me (who would only use point and shoot cams all his life) can enrol.

Plus, what's a good SLR cam to buy for a beginner? I've checked around and the entry level cams hover at the 60-80k, which I think is a bit pricey for me at this time.

Any recommendations? Appreciate your thoughts.

Google http://www.pcci.com.ph, they have classes about Basic Photography. Our very own Dominique James teaches there as well. Do check out Jo Avila (Mister Kodaker) photography lessons as well. Jeff Cua's creative photography lessons are interesting as well. One Workshop (Ross Capili) offers photography workshops you shouldn't miss.

A good beginner workshop is Leo Castillo's Photoworks. Its a great mix of technical and practical techniques.

Well, here's your chance to learn and practice the fundamentals in
photographic composition.

The Lightroom presents BASIC CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY Workshop.

This workshop composed of 4 sessions will be a fun-filled learning
session on the basic composition techniques. More time will be
spent on practice rather than lecturing. We believe in the old
clich�, "practice makes perfect". So we will be shooting a lot to
immediately apply the techniques.

The 1st batch in currently ongoing and so far it has been fun and
exciting.

ANY DIGITAL CAMERA WILL DO�.whether it's a point-and-shoot digital
camera or dslr�no prob!

The schedule for June is as follows:

June 5, 7, 9 and 12 (Batch 2)

June 19, 21, 23 and 26 (Batch 3)

Sessions will be from 6:30- 9:30pm except on Day 3 session which is
an on location shoot within Metro Manila.

The Lightroom is located at Unit 912 9th floor, Blanco Center,
Leviste St. Salcedo Village, Makati.

Workshop fee is only Php2,000 (introductory price). We will limit
the class to a maximum of 15 participants to have a more focused
discussion and mentoring. To reserve a slot, just send me an email
