Celebrity Glamour Portrait Photography
This glamour portrait photography workshop will cover the finer elements of portraiture encompassing techniques and styles that Dominique James uses to photograph celebrities and make them look great in pictures. The course will break down the various elements that contribute to making a successful and modern "celebrity" type of glamour portraiture. It will touch on all aspects that contributes in creating a great "celebrity" image portraits. This includes: hair-and-makeup, styling, background and backdrops, lighting, posing techniques, bringing out the best in the subjects, among others.
What will be covered:
• Basic photographic principles of photographing people
• Elements of beauty in photographs
• Mathematical formula/rule of capturing & creating photographic beauty
• Pre-production & conceptual stage of photographing celebrity
• Hair & makeup styling for glamour portrait session
• Dealing with celebrities & talents during the portrait session
• Photo session workflow
• Effective studio beauty lighting techniques for celebrity portraiture (studio)
• Effective natural beauty lighting techniques for celebrity portraiture (location)
• Composing the portrait image
• Portraiture secrets of the pro photographers
• Post-production workflow
• The legal & business aspects/arrangements of photographing celebrities/models/talents (people)
Who should attend: This is for portrait photographers who want to inject glamour into the photos they take.
Prerequisites: Participants should have completed PCCI's Basic Photography workshop or have equivalent experience.
What to bring: Participants should bring their own (film-based or digital) SLR camera. For participants with film-based cameras, film will be provided.

TIME: 9 AM to 5 PM

Dominique James is one of today’s finest professional photographers based in the Philippines. In less than ten years, he has photographed almost all local celebrities and fashion models as well as some of the most popular politicians. He has also photographed the biggest names in Philippine sports. Dominique’s photographs have appeared on the cover or inside pages of several newspapers and magazines. He has photographed multi-awarded singers and musicians for concert posters and for the cover of some of the best-selling local albums of all time. He has also done fashion photographs for top Filipino designers. To date, he has already presented more than 40 one-man photography exhibits. While Dominque is best known for his celebrity photographs, his favorite subjects include still life, nudes, sunsets, botanicals and architecture.
