Sequencing
I don't know if that's the right term, I hope so. Anyway, my band and I planning to go sequencing. I wonder what we really need. Basically we have 1 drummer, 1 bass, 1 rhythm and one keyboardist. What we want to plug in is probably one more accoustic, strings and some sax.
Can we use the (oldie) KorgX3 to connect to my PB to do some recordings? If yes, what type of cables we'll need to connect it to the PB and where can we get them? Do we need certain drivers pa before the PB can detect the KorgX3? Then do we need to connect directly the PB to the mixer while playing or to a speaker with mic on it? Can Garageband do the job? We're not a pro band. Just trying to enhance what we have right now.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Sequencing
First thing you need is a USB MIDI interface for sequencing, here you can connect the Korg X3 via a standard MIDI cable and record your kayboard performance data. You will also need a good quality sound card (look for firewire ones for more bandwidth) to be able to record any audio signal, like the keyboard outs, microphone or guitar preamp outputs.
