    Default pro tools question

hi there i just bought a second hand mbox and well im really new to pro tools. everything was going fine till i tried to bounce the tracks to my hard drive. some error message saying something like "your disk might be too slow or fragmented". so does this mean i have to get an external hard drive just for mixingdown audio from pro tools? kind of a hassle. well any help would be much appreciated thanks
