Can anyone help me edit this soundclip? It's in *.wma format, about 30 seconds. The problem is that it mentions two phone #'s at the end, and one has already been disconnected. So all i need to do is remove the 2nd phone number
8941663 - keep
8945620 - remove
Output file format can in any format, preferably *.wma or *.mp3
If you could first convert your wma file into mp3 then the easiest way to do it would be to use iTunes. Select the audio file from your iTunes library then choose File > Get Info (or command + I). Click the options tab and enter the desired time to start and time to stop. Just listen to your audio file first and determine when you need your clip to end and that would be the stop time that you have to enter. After you have set the start and stop times choose Advanced > Convert Selection to MP3. It will then create a new audio file with the desired length you want. Just remember to click the Date Added column so that it would sort your files and you wouldn't have a hard time looking for the new file. There are a number of audio conversion applications in VersionTracker or MacUpdate but I can't recommend one since I don't normally use this type of app.
1. First Google WireTap.sit. You will need this free OS X utility. It should be the second hit when you type "WireTap.sit" in Google search.
2. If you have VLC or Windows Media great. If not get something to play your .wmv file.
3. Ok, install WireTap. Now hit record and then play the file you want to sound record. Hit stop when done.
For best results have the source file turned on loud. This works only on OS X. If you want to try something fancy, the beta for Sound Studio is free (another thing you need Google to find).
Yeah I hope this helps.
And oh yeah, this makes .aiff files from anything that makes sounds on OS X. iTunes will easily handle the .aiff files.
