Question How to Import Copy-Controlled CD to iTunes

Hey, I just bought "Norah Jones - Come Away with Me" CD and when I put it into my CD Drive it installed a player and when I tried to import the songs to iTunes I can't find the files from te CD. How to go about this guys? Should I just return this CD? This is my first encounter with a Copy-Controlled CD. By the way, I'm using my work Windows-PC laptop.

My friend who does professional audio-video work told me some time ago to hold onto my old caddy loading 1x and 2x SCSI CD-ROM drives (found in early 1990s macs) because these can't read the extra track where the copy protection software is located.

On a PC, have you tried holding down the shift key while loading the CD? This will prevent programs on the CD from automatically running upon insertion (including copy protection software).

Then perhaps copy protection software was already installed on your PC (even before you tried ripping this current CD). Sony was notorious for installing rootkits with its DRM'd CDs.

On windows, you might need some extra software for coying protected disks.
