help! torq software cannot detect conectiv hardware

everytime i try to initiate the torq software, it asks me to plug in the m-audio hardware first even if it already is...at first, i thought that maybe the hardware was underpowered but when i checked system preference, it's there...i checked on the m-audio site and they recommended that i plug it on the left side usb so that's what i did...i also unplugged the mouse just to be sure...still no cigar...i'm not sure if i did something wrong or what...maybe i overlooked something...i wouldn't mind looking stupid if i did; i just want the damn thing to work...any ideas, folks?

ayayay...found a patch to fix my troubles...apparently, there was an issue with intel based macs...you're naughty, m-audio!...thank you lord!

hi nomanji...right now everything is all good in the 'hood!

...it was kind of confusing at the start because of the additional rca jack inputs and outputs but i figured it out eventually...the torq software is not as intuitive as i would like it to be but it's ok, as long as it's doing its job...i'm trying to see if i can wire my trigger finger midi controller to the software...are you intrested in getting conectiv or you have one already? the reason i got one is because most reviews i read said that it's the best bang for the buck although i would have gotten the rane serato combo if i had the moolah...

i dont see the need to buy one at the moment. first, am still saving up for a macbook. second, cdr blanks are cheap. also at the moment, i cannot just use any other dj brand but denon dj. i have to ask permission first from the boss. =)

how much were you able to get the connectiv? i saw one here in sm north and it's around php 19k.

19k? wow...i got the full package (the conectiv interface, torq software, two vinyl and two cd controllers) here in the U.S. from sam ash for 300 bucks...let's say it's still 50 pesos to the dollar, that would come out as 15k...can't believe it's cheaper here...and to think it's one of the lower end digital dj equipment...but then again, who ever said that this hobby would be cheap?

hi christian...i totally forgot to bookmark the page but i'm not sure if the page i found for the patch is still up ...m-audio released an updated driver for conectiv last march (ver. 1.7) so you might want to check that out...also, are you using torq as your dj software? if you are still using the pre-1.5 version, last update was version 1.0.7...you can get those updates by going to the torq drivers and software page...hope this helps...enjoy!
