Re: Akai stuff... the MPC500 has a street price of about 800 dollars, which is a little bit too much in my opinion. And that seems to be the only barrier to purchase actually for anyone who would want this baby.

Re: Akai stuff... The mpd24 does seem to be a better alternative than the Trigger Finger. I've been reading all sorts of problems with the resposiveness of the Trigger Finger's pads. Knowing Akai's reputation am pretty sure the pads will be awesome.
