Hello fellow muggers!
I would like to make kampanya... please vote for the UBSHS site at the Spring 2007 CSS Reboot and the Standards Reboot
The University of Baguio Science High School is Asia's first science high school (yes, we predate the Philippine Science High School... they actually based their first curriculum on us) and of the Top 3 high schools in the Philippines. The UB Science High joins the Reboot to promote the use of standards-compliant, valid, and accessible websites among educational institutions.
The site was created primarily on Mac computers using ImageReady CS, TextEdit (95% of the time), WordPad (5%... a very painful experience without Mac OS X'ss Quartz antialiasing), Transmit, and Opera for testing and validation. This the first site I've made where I stayed as far away from Dreamweaver as possible.
Design was only a second consideration as the main goal was to create a modular web-standard site that could be easily modified and maintained by the students next school year.
You can vote for the site at the CSS Reboot by going to the front page (the UBSHS site is near the top) and clicking on the small "vote box" to the left of the site summary, ala Digg. I don't think registration is required for voting but you need to be if you want to make comments.
Voting at the Standards Reboot is a little trickier since all the rebooted sites are all in one page, so you'll have to scroll down to look for the site screenshot to vote. Registration is required.
Both Reboots aim to promote the use of web-standard XHTML and CSS among "tables upon nested tables" web developers and designers.
If there are other muggers who joined the Reboot post them here so we can also vote for them.
Salamat!
