    They're obviously 1st world country rates that recognizes the value of IP & creativity (i.e. patents, trademarks, licensing agreements, etc.) wherein it gives credit (income) where credit is due.

    Unlike lesser # rated countries that don't value them enough or don't enforce them at all (wherein blatant piracy gives income only to the pirates), therefore not giving what deserving IP & creative artists their rightly due (income) unfortunately.

    @work: iWindows unfortunately since 08/30/05.
    @nywhere: Palm(s) & Handspring(s) since 2000, then iPhone since 03/09/08 and iBook(s) since 08/23/08.

    I'd settle for half of what they get in the US!

    Not a precise benchmark but rather info I've collected from friends/acquaintances in the field:

    - Production artist: 10k-15k
    - Design Supervisor: 20k-25k
    - Art Director: 30K upwards to 75k

    The motion graphics and 3d guys usually get higher salaries than the rest.

    when you start converting it to local currencies, then the facts get twisted. they earn in dollars, they live and pay in dollars too. so its not that too big in my opinion.

    Partly correct.

    But take note, the standards and cost of living between a 1st world and a 3rd world country are far different from each other, wherein it shows a great income disparity amongst job descriptions & quality of life (that's why we have Filipino OFW's & immigrants abroad, leaving our country on a whim).

    Exactly. In fact, the salary to expense ratio is worst in the Philippines. Meaning, very low salary and very high prices.

    Hi Eric, do you have friends in the broadcast/media industry as well?

    I need to know salary ranges for an Executive Producer or Production House Manager here in Manila. Unfortunately, the web isn't of much reference. I wish we had a Phil counterpart to payscale.com or any other similar website.

    Thanks in advance!
