    Default Question on Cinema 4d

    newbie here..I already have made my 3D object, and i want to add a camera where i can manipulate its postion and what angle its looking, i have tried it with 3d studio VIZ am now a mac user and i am using Cinema 4d to animate 3d objects. how can i let the camera move along a path or spline and still having the camera face the object?

    Use target cam and and add c4d tag(align to spine)

    Yes, Use target cam and add c4d tag(align to spine) then drag the Spline Name to the Tag Properties ( Spline Path ) to connect the camera to the spline, then keyframe the position percentage, to animate the Camera.

    If you want your camera always looking at the object of your choice.
    Select the Target Camera Name on the Objects Tab, then under the Attributes Tab, select the Target column, You will see a "Target Object" space, drag the Object Name to the "Target Object" space, and Voila! Your camera will always look at the chosen object even you move the camera anywhere on the 3D space.

    hey guys is there a resource center where one can get trained on cinema 4d? anyone teaching or are there classes available around?

    To those who are using cinema 4d, will you recommend this more than the adobe apps? what do you think?

    Use cinema 4d with Adobe Apps... i do that always with my broadcast motion graphics projects.. They are like sugar and coffee..hehehe

    is it normal for rendering to take at least 2 hours for small size images and whole lot longer for bigger sizes? Any advise pls. Thanks.

    Rain Man you have to consider the HARDWARE and COMPOSITION before you consider its normal or not. Slow HARDWARE means slow rendering. Detailed COMPOSITION (Meaning lots of graphics or polygon counts, lots of objects, motion blur turned on, etc.) means longer time of rendering. Then the smaller resolution size you render the video, the faster it will render. But before that you must look into HARDWARE and COMPOSITION.
