Opening an html file created in text edit in Notepad.
Hi! I'm taking an html class. We use a PC in class. I create my html files using Text Edit in my imac but whenever I open it in Notepad (in Windows), the whole code is in one line (so I have to word wrap it) and a rectangle character is created in place of a "line break" I created by pressing "return" key when I created them in TExt Edit.
Anyone know a fix for that?
Thanks!!!

Try TextWrangler (freeware). Just google it to find a download site

Better yet, open the TextEdit file in WordPad not Notepad (it should be on your Accessories folder in the Start menu), it will be able to recognize the Mac/UNIX line breaks and format it properly on screen. The reason why Notepad displays everything in one very long line, it can only recognize MSDOS line breaks.
