Default The Majency Oracle - a deck for writers

This is quite cool. It's a free downloadable deck of 169 cards, which we can use as writing prompts.

Great idea generator, Maryanne. I don't want to print it. Is there a way to view random pages on Acrobat? As if you're shuffling pages, instead of cards?

Hmm. Not sure yet. I myself have not even unzipped the file up to now. (As it is, I already have too much to write about, if you know what I mean.) Will let you know, though, since I think they're really cute.

A very interesting find, maryannemoll. I think its a more useful tool for writers than for visual artists. But I'll probably try it on my next project.

Re randomizer, try this method: open the deck in Preview, hover your mouse on thumbnail view pane, flick the mouse scroll wheel, give it a spin and voila.. instant randomizer, hehe.

Hi Eric, I tried it that way too. I have this Logitech MX Revolution mouse whose scroll wheel can spin 'like crazy'!

Nice link maryanne . Reminds me of a real (as opposed to virtual) deck we used to have: The Creative Whack Pack. But this one seems to be on hand without having to leave one's computer if used without being printed :

[EDIT] OT, maryanne: It's nice to know that the Creative Whack Pack is still available and the author has a blog

I'm now having some fun with The Majency Oracle (instead of working, sshhhh...). This is a very cool find, maryannemoll! Thanks a lot!

Kaffee, the Creative Whack Pack is great, too. I'm very interested in getting one. Would you happen to know if it's available here in Manila? Thanks!
