Hi there!. You can try browsing these sites for jobs. You can also post your resume.jobstreet
    jobsdb

Photoshop is an important software in the world of graphic design. Most designs/graphic works require a photoshop editing at the end.
Just continue using photoshop and you will eventually improve your skills...

First, you have to make up your mind what "industry" you would want to your career be developed -

Since your course is about multimedia and information design - maybe you would want to be take a look at web development companies and aim for a design-led profession. It would be great if you can expose yourself early on so you developed a wider perspective on how to go about it if you are seriously considering it as a job.

Another training ground you may want to consider are graphic design studios or if you can, the big ad agencies - mostly below-the-line advertising companies are starting to build their new media arsenal as it the most cost-effective thing to do now. Your exposure on the creative business will be an edge soon.

Remember, internship or summer job means you need to exert effort, meet deadlines, devote time and focus or sometime deal with other employees so you got to consider them as well and make sure you'll get more in terms of beneficial aspects not necessarily on monetary terms - skill, training, exposure.

That's more than enough. All you need for now is to convince your potential employer to give you a chance and show what you've got. Good luck.

It is important that you set up an portfolio site. As a person who line of work is to give job contracts artist and designer that is the very first thing that I look for are samples of their work and the most accessable way for others to see your work is to put them online. Good luck.

yup, work on a decent portfolio, work on your skills. In the process, your portfolio would showcase your talent... so employers would have an idea on your capacity or your potential as a graphic designer.

Aside from the more technical, how-to-use books, read up on design-related publications. It doesnt matter if the title is about product design, interior design, photography, architecture, etc. Added up, the knowledge you'll gain reading the stuff will help you develop your own unique style.
