HOWTO: Color accuracy
I've been doing some commercial work for the past few days and I want to improve the way I work in the sense of color accuracy. What hardware solution are out there that can make WYSIWYG and what do I ask from the tarpoline & sticker printer service company?

oooh. this is complicated. and has been discussed before.
coincidentally, while window shopping at ebay.ph, I saw this for sale. Dunno if its good, but I believe the spyder is a pretty respectable device.

Re: HOWTO: Color accuracy
I've been looking on Amazon and saw the Spyder2 Express for $69.00. Difference from this basic setup is the software bundled between the Spider2 & Spyder2 Pro. If my needs become more subtle it's just a $200 software upgrade away.

Re: HOWTO: Color accuracy
The cheap part is monitor calibration which will set you back $250 or less. These devices are called colorimeters.
The expensive part is calbrating the printer. You'll need a spectrophotometer for that. Usually around $1500. But if you do buy this, you won't need a colorimeter anymore because a spectrophotometer can calibrate displays as well. It will also calibrate your scanner.
