Guide in Newsletter Prepartaion
Anybody please help!
I have a client who publishes a quarterly corporate newsletter. They charge me with the design and print management. Be that as it may, my scope often goes beyond, in fact i am now the impromptu editor, and i don't have any experience on this sphere.
What I need is a resource site where I can download some guidelines for the preparation of newsletters.
Thanks in advance to all.
Happy Holidays!!!

If you have Adobe Indesign CS2, you can use the included templates as your guide

Re: Guide in Newsletter Prepartaion
mejo vague, you have a client who charges you? well anyway, IMHO, i think it is proper to charge them by the hour you spend on the project. Almost always i do the same for my clients, aside from creative work, i even work on the copy. Most of the muggers here are copywriters, i guess they have input on how much to charge.
for the guidelines, what exactly do u mean? creative templates or outline? ako i gather the project contents, pixs, graphs, copy and then some related materials, (in this case, newsletters) so i can compare.

Re: Guide in Newsletter Prepartaion
Make separate guides for Editorial content and Creative output.
Check how many pages your client is aiming for. This will be based on the budget.
Then, you can decide on a theme that runs through each issue, then base the content on that. Make a story lineup, divide the number of pages, assign the writing/photography. Then edit the submitted content. If its not you, get someone to edit the copy.
Then layout na.
Then charge the client: for editing, usually per page or no. of words. Pwede rin per hour, parang creative.
Para mas maganda, try Googling for a step-by-step guide. I might be wrong with the flow of which should be done first.
