Can CorelDRAW Read EPS Files?

A supplier is asking for an artwork to be in CorelDRAW (for the PC) format but since neither Illustrator nor Freehand can export to this format, I'm thinking of giving the file in EPS format instead. Can CorelDRAW properly read EPS files created with a mac without any problems?

Hi,

Safely export your artwork from Illustrator or Freehand for PC Corel to import/open (just attach or select a PICT or .TIF preview for the PC user). It is still best to ask your supplier what version of Corel they have and what format they are comfortable working with. EPS in Corel may limit editing capabilities for the user, however.

Lastly, make sure to provide your supplier with a hardcopy print indicating your colors (CMYK or Pantone values) and require them to send you a proof for approval prior to printing. HTH.

Simple answer is yes. Just export your Corel file as EPS. Be sure you convert all fonts to outline so you won't have issues on missing font attachments.

My file is actually in Freehand MX.

Anyways since deadline is quite tight we just decided to go with another print supplier to avoid any problems.
