play around the ff. tools in PSD

    path/ shape tool
gradient (grey (nearly white), blue(ish) to white/ transparent)
    opacity
very little layer effect (bevel, shadow)

Hi. They might have painted that logo using layers instead of using the transparency adjustment used for aqua, that's why it doesn't have the tutorial. I think the layers for that are. Though I think in digital painting, layering is like cheating but it works:

Layer 1: the official outline of the Apple logo they keep with that slash drawing in the middle, done in Illustrator

Layer 2: painting with blending brushes, done with Painter (like my avatar)

Layer 3: white paint for those highlights, some drawings for the outline

Then everything is dropped or merged with the original Layer (that layer with the lock).

    God bless,
    Alvin

A few years back, there was a Photoshop plugin calld KPT Bryce. I don't know if it still exists but it had a neat chrome effect that could easily duplicate the apple chrome logo.
