Default Restart window keeps on popping up

the last thing i do before i go to bed is disconnect my Globe Broadband connection (via speedtouch frog-like modem) then put my powerbook to sleep. but its happened several times over the past week that when i open my pb when i wake up, the restart window pops up telling me to restart. i don't know if its a coincidence but this only started happening when i got the modem.

    should i panic?

Don't know if your modem may be the cause of it.

Guys, is this a kernel panic?

depends. what exactly does the "window" say? if your screen suddenly freezes, turns translucent, and shows a long string of gobbledygook (where, somewhere, it tells you to restart) then yes, you have a kernel panic, most likely caused by some software or hardware incompatibility. (use the "search" function, or go to google, to check out "kernel panic.&quot
