PLDT myDSL Biz\'s Free Mac Offer
Want a free eMac, iMac, iBook or Powerbook?
I'm surprised they havent offered a Mac Mini yet. The eMac and iMac appear to be the previous model. I couldnt find info on how big the screens are or if they sport a combo or superdrive.
For more information on the promo and service availability, call 171 or visit any PLDT Business Office.

Based on the promo mechanics, take special note of the "points" structure. Each biz plan corresponds to a reward "point" that will earn the subscriber free PCs.
If you want a free ibook, you need to subscribe to Small biz Senior (P14.5k / month) + another Small biz plan (P4k / month) locked to 2 years since you need 14 points worth of rewards.
If you want the powerbook, you'll need 2 x Small biz Senior plans (for a total of 29k / month) locked to 2 years since you need 21 points to qualify.
Also, please take into account that biz plans require the line to be registered to a business (not residential) that costs P1,500.00 a month EXCLUDING the DSL service. In essence, you're assuring the landline group of PLDT another P36k worth of revenues that they can count on for the next 2 years EXCLUDING DSL.
In summary, to get the iBook, you'd have to shell out P480,000 over 2 years. For the Powerbook, you will have to shell out P732,000 over 2 years.
Cheers.

When I need to be....
Any enterpreneur worth his salt has got to be part bean-counter, part superman, part hatchetman, part firefighter, part snake-oil salesman, part shrink and even part janitor.

As I see it the free computer offer is just a way to induce you to go with PLDT instead of Globe. If both have the same rates then freebies would really help in determining what's what.
