Don't you just hate it when your work is interrupted by an incoming BT file transfer prompt?
Although the .sis virus is harmless on non-Series 60 phones, it's annoying. It happens in hotspots mostly, but lately, I've been getting the prompt at home (obviously a neighbor who's unaware).
The simple solution is to either turn BT off, or uncheck the 'Discoverable' option, but I use my BT a lot, so more often than not these options are on.
Rule of thumb: never accept an incoming file (even if there's an attractive person of the opposite sex nearby), unless you are expecting it from someone you know.
With this virus, I can't help but consider Nokia to be the Microsoft of the phone world.
If you want to read about this BT phone virus, read it here: McAfee: SymbOS/Cabir.
I've been reading up on phone viruses. It seems that the virus I mentioned is not as bad as Commwarrior.A, which is a worm that propagates not only via bluetooth, but by MMS as well. Again, it only affects Symbian Series 60 phones.

Ouch. And to think, you aren't even aware that this is happening. :sigh:
