anyone having problems sending pop mail using pldt mydsl?

smtp.info.com.ph doesn't seem to be working... :upset:

under sending mail click advanced options.check the box that says smtp needs authentication.then check the box that says use same settings as receiving mail server.

i just had a chat with one of their tech-support person and they gave me the other smtp address (smtp.pldtdsl.net) but it still won't work. I have been using the old smtp address (smtp info.net.ph) but it just started to fail. Can't send mails anymore. Even they can't seem to explain why until they started blamng the OS. They said it might not be compatible with Tiger. Naku po! Naghula nanaman! :no:

Anyway, they said they will send somebody to my office and bring a Mac so they can test it. Meanwhile, I am using my own domains smtp address and its working fine.

as fas as i know they started to migrate all accounts to pldtdsl.net.

use authentication when using smtp..
user name is your email and
your password is the same.... server port 25

smtp is smtp.pldtdsl.net :cheers:

am having problems sending mail too.

Tried smtp.info.com.ph and smtp.pldtdsl.net

Both don't work.

If any of you figure out what the problem is...please let me know.

I'm using smtp.pldtdsl.net since smtp.info.com.ph doesn't work. Be sure to type in your complete email address as username (i.e. with @pldtdsl.net).

By the way, I'm using Tiger OS and I can send and receive emails...

I had this problem when I upgraded to tiger. Up to now, my Apple Mail is still not configured. I had no problems with Entourage though. Sayang, I like the new Mail pa naman. I will try to revisit the reconfiguration later and will see if I can make it work na. I am just wondering how come the same configuration works with Entourage but not with Mail.

Hey guys. here's an update on my Mail application. Now, this is even weirder, and I cannot explain this... After I opened the application, I heard the familiar swoosh, which means mail has just been sent. I checked my "sent" folder and the mail that I was trying to send to myself las May 24 was just sent now, and a few seconds later, I received it in my inbox. I sent another email to myself, using my pldt account and I was able to send and receive it. Now, I sent to my Gmail account, and Mail prompted me that my message could not be sent using my Pldt account. What happened?

hmmm .. the technical support gave me .. smtp.pldtdsl.net ... ? tried that?
