Globe Wiz Question

Was wondering if anyone of you have any problems browsing through Globe's Wiz Hotspot in Greenbelt 3. I can connect properly, but some sites are inaccessible (www.apple.com, for example). Looks like a DNS problem, but I can't find anywhere the DNS settings for it. Thanks!

none so far, except that I can't connect while at Cafea which is Globe Wiz spot.

I'm now at Greenbelt 3 testing the hotspots. All seems to be fine, except for the one at Cafea. GlobeQUEST is familiar with this problem. We had the same issue before at Restaurant12 and they were able to resolve it. I've reported this particular problem to them, so expect it to be fixed soon.

I'm at the 3rd Floor and presumably using the D'Mark's hotspot... so far so good!

Today is the last day of FREE GLOBE WIZ for postpaid subscribers.. huhuhu, wala na bang extension.

From the GlobeQUEST WIZ FAQ:

• How do I use WIZ if I'm a Globe Handyphone Subscriber?
If you are a postpaid Globe Handyphone subscriber, all you need to do is text WIZ <space> ON to 2333 or dial *9910 and a 24 hour username and password is sent to you. Other WIZ commands are as follows:

WIZ <space>OFF
or *9911 - Cancel/Terminate WIZ username and password

WIZ <space> USAGE
or *9912 - Check current WIZ usage for current username and password

WIZ <space> HELP
or *9913 - Customer Service Support

• How much do I spend for each WIZ request or command?

You are charged P2.50 for every WIZ SMS request.

• How much do I spend for WIZ usage?

WIZ usage will be on a free trial basis until April 30, 2004. You will be informed of WIZ per minute charges after the free trial period.

I noticed just last night that Globe Wiz is not SAFARI friendly, 'was informed by SBC Greenbelt crew (was very apologitic actually) that they're having downtime with ACCESS so he recommends to try Globe instead.. . Is anyone encountered this?

Huh? Globe Wiz and Airborne Access have worked fine for me, except for the hotspot in Greenbelt 3 which seems to be flaky. But the hotspot in The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is fine.

It has something to do with the connection I supposed, ang tagal kc mag-load ng login window last night using Safari eh, that's why i have to used other browser.

yeah, i remember i've tried using Globe Wiz before in Safari.
