Mine is PLDT MyDSL and it took them less than a week for application approval and a few hours to physically install. Aside from short but frequent downtimes that have been happening lately I have no complaints.

Is that the P1,995 price? Is there any hidden charges?

If Globe DSL, watch out for the USB type 'frog' looking thingy they usually give you.

Lousy modem, and you can't connect a router to it.

Some Globe areas are OK, and some are really really bad !

I had to 'fight' for what I have now ! Whatever complaint you have, they will not really act on it unless you email them personally and better take a screen shot of Eg., the slowness of the DSL given you (I actually did this, I took a picture of the bandwidth meter measuring my DSL line and then and only then they reacted).

Globe 24 hrs support is quite good though inspite of all the problems. PLDT I understand can be quite spotty at times. I suggest you get the direct landline or cellphone of the supervisor of the PLDT guy (or whoever) that installs the DSL so that if a busy tone or constant ringing greets you always, you can call/hassle the supervisor about your problem.

Best of luck and hope you will not have to go through this !

Applied for MyDSL plan 1995 thru Mobile One last Dec 3 and am still waiting to be connected. Better apply directly to PLDT, I hear its much faster there.

I called up PLDT and these are the mechanics:

    1. 50% is only applicable for the 3,000 plan. In other words if you get this, you wind up paying P1,500. Because in their words, the ads say "Up to 50%" If you get the P1,900 plan you still pay P1,500.
    2. The promo is valid only until the 7th
    3. And the "50%" off is only valid for a year after which you have to pay regular rates.

    Hope this helps!

We're on PLDT DSL here at home, generally fast, few hiccups. Their tech support, not that we needed it often sucks. PLDT CONVERGENCE is such an oxymoron.

I'm very happy with my PLDT myDSL Pro. I consistently get 90-95 KBps (720-760 kbps). Haven't noticed any downtime in the 2 months I've been using it.

MyDSL 2500. No hidden charges. You're tied for a year or you pay an installation fee.
