Bayantel/skyinet DSL modem upgrade

Just got a visit with Bayantel/SkyDSL service crew today.

I was one in the list that got a new updated firmware of their DSL modem.

So if you have a Bayantel/SkyDSL line, you might get a visit one of these days.

Saw in the list Prof Dalisay's name too.

N.B.
This was due to some complaints that DNS error was reported. And accordingly they are doing some infrastructure upgrading.

I hope that includes speed too.

yep, they went to my house this noon while i was away, but since they hadn't told me anything beforehand about it, the folks at home didn't let them in. (simple security precaution). ok lang, because i was worried that the upgrade might actually screw things up; i haven't had any problems since i signed up a few months ago, and i'm paranoid about changing something that's working just fine. they should've made this a selective program.

macmon, tell me if your speed improves. if it doesn't, i'll tell them to leave my setup alone.

just trying it this evening and so far so good. No changes in terms of speed and all.
I was also surprised they did a firmware upgrade of the modem and no notice was given. Fortunately, I was still at home when they came.

Based on their personnel it is for Infrastructure upgrading purposes of Bayantel, I do hope it is for double the speed in the future.

Try downloading files in MB size.

sana nga mag double na rin skydsl ng speed. pero wierd, upload speed ko is in the 700Kbps range, pero download is still in 384Kbps range. sana magkabaliktad na lang....hay buhay.

reverse ang sa skydsl.

faster upload and slower download.
