Airport Extreme and GlobeDSL
Hi MUGgers,
As I said in a previous thread, after a lot of complaints, my DSL speed got 'bumped up' to 500+ Kbps !! Great, but I cannot seem to surf using my Airport Extreme set up. I can send and retrieve my email but I cannot surf !!
If I connect directly the ethernet cable to my 667 TiBook, then all is fine, I can send and receive email, and I can surf.
Is this a setting thing on the part of Globe ?? The Globe DSL lineman said they had changed my port to another one. Everything worked fine but slow using the previous port !
I thought first that my Sonnet Aria Extreme Cardbus was defective, but it shows up on my taskbar, connects with full bars to the Airport base station. I brought it to Ynzal yesterday and it worked fine in their TiBook !!
When I connect to the modem using those numbers 192.168.1.1, it connects so the Airport talks to the modem.
When I download my email, the flickering of the LEDs in the Airport correspond with the flickering in the eth/act LEDs of the Sonnet Cardbus and the modem eth/act LEDs.
Have called Globe already.
Anybody know whazzup here ??
Appreciate any feedback on this.
Cheers,

Have you tried setting your router's MTU setting to 1492? Default is usually 1500, which causes problems with DSL connections.
