40% Airborne Access WiFi
To continue our discussion on this ubercool offer here here are some facts, figures and speculations.
PhilMUG users can avail of a 40% discount on WiFi Internet access from Airborne Access. This offer also doesn't charge a setup fee.
This link (.PDF file) describes the offer PinoyPocketPC users are getting. It's an assumption we'll get a similar or same deal from Airborne Access as well.
mobile1 members get a year's worth of unlimited access for 3,000. That's roughly P8.22/day
The offer is good until April 15th (Thursday).
I'm unsure if the offer stated in the .PDF or P3,000 access from mobile1 is VAT inclusive.
This thread will be updated. Final word & mechanics for the deal will come from the official PhilMUG reps.

all your base are ...
40% off?
P7,200 is a bargain compared to P12,000 a year, however, does ePLDT's Airborne Access also include the FREE Wireless LAN Card & Wireless Router with your subscription?
Has anyone used these freebies (what brand?) with their PowerBooks? How's the performance? Compared to using an Apple base station?
I'm very interested in this promo but need to know if those non-Apple freebies work ok or not with PowerBooks.

guys, guys, you're spoiling the surprise!
Please wait for our official announcement!

Maybe there should be a PhilMugRumour site for speculations on upcoming goodies. That way, we can all speculate the same way that we do whilst waiting for Apple to come out with their official announcements.

I hope my prayers will be answered. I feel I'm burning dough as well as I find it cumbersome having to deal with the whole cycle of buying pre-paid cards, scratching off the silvery thing to reveal the "magic" numbers, logging in, waiting for my minutes to run out.... again and again....
I'll be glad to shell out a one time fee to be able to stroll in any SBC or AA wifi site, find a comfortable corner and surf away...

Good things come to those who wait. This is something good....let's wait....
