    what is a nice but cheap external HD for home use?

    it would be swell if theres space for editing videos and mp3s and stuff like that

    Just buy a big hard disk (80/120/160/200/250 gigs) and a external housing (usb2.0 or firewire *oxford chipset) in a local pc shop. It will only cost you less than 8K.

    Oops, my bad. it will cost you more than 8K for the 250gigs. For a setup of 120G (5,500) + external housing (2,500) = 8K.
