    Default Toast is TOAST...

Anyone have this same problem? Can't burn data DVDs on Toast Titanium for some reason. Whenever I try to save my .avi files on a DVD-R, Toast spits out and reports an error: "The Drive reported an error: Sense Key = Medium Error
    Sense Code = 0x73, 0x03

I have no idea what that means. Burns to data CDs are okay, I only get this error with blank DVDs. Help.

Had the same problem many times before. Try burning at very slow speed.

I've recently been having similar problems with burning DVDs.

I use a 17" iMac (2 years old now) and have burned DVDs with no problem before. All of a sudden when I try to burn a DVD off iPhoto or anywhere else I get that same problem-with-the-medium message.

I've tried burning straight from the desktop, from the iPhoto app, from iDVD, and I can't seem to burn DVDs anymore. I don't know if this has anything to do with recent updates from Apple or what. I doubt that it's the medium.

And I'm using Apple-branded DVD-ROMs. The same ones I've been using for 2 years now.

    No problems burning CDs.

Hi Carlo! You might have a bad batch of DVDR's. Have had the same problems until last week when i tried to back up some files on a DVD and it worked fine.

I thought it could be a DVD media problem, but I went through 3-4 different brands of DVD-Rs and still the same result. Burns to a normal CD-R are okay. My girlfriend's Pbook had the same problem a few days ago, but after a couple of restarts, the problem sort of fixed itself. I'm just irked because I can't have this sort of inconsistency happen, especially in my current job.

On a positive note, ended up transfering my massive .avi files to my iPod, swinging over to my office, and sharing my files through that! That alone paid for my iPod's purchase...galeng ng Mac! Burners nyo nalang. :P

Oh and congrats again Toto! Heard she sang?!?

    Hi Carlo Ledesma,

How about try quitting other Apps before burning. Also deactivate stuff that might interrupt burning (like screensavers, network access, etc.).

Also do a Permissions repair on your internal hard drive.

    Goodluck,
    Christian
