    Default Powerbook survives fire!!!

    http://www.progsoc.org/~arh/sophie/FieryPowerbook/

t's a sad fact of life that God hates Mac users. If you needed any more proof, check out these pictures of this burnt and charred 12-inch Powerbook, caught in an apartment fire, which despite the damage and encrustations is reported to still work. What can we learn from this? In a kickboxing match between Jesus and Jobs, Steve would win. I know it's shocking, but if there's one thing I've learned from Internet, it's that digital pictures cannot lie. They don't even have tongues! (Thanks, Marcus!)

how anyone can escape a blazing apartment and leave her powerbook is beyond me. Looks like that STM is what really saved the PB.

I wonder if that is really a 12" Powerbook. Baka naman 17" yan dati na nagshrink dahil sa init.

Hmmm.... I think I would have another point of view regarding God hating Mac users...

I think its the opposite wherein God LOVES Mac users and Jobs.
Since the pbook survived the fire, it means that the pbook is put to the test and survived it.
Thus those who are unbelievers of the power and quality of the pbook will then believe that Job's company makes sure that you have a QUALITY pbook.

And that is through the POWER OF GOD.

it may not even be appropriate to use GOD as an excuse for negligence...

the owner (the pregnant woman) is definitely glad her powerbook survived the fire. I guess she was making call to tell everyone about it.

a building in my apartment complex just caught fire early this morning. it was so surreal.... waking up to shouts of 'fire' , seeing flames and smoke out your window. so when my brain eventually forced me to get out of bed and into the streets, the first thing i did, which, in retrospect, i now find amusing and kinda pathetic, was to unplug my pb 12" from its cable, calmly put it in my computer bag and almost head out the door...... only to step back for my passport and airline ticket, wallet, keys (i wasnt gonna get stuck here without a way back to manila). Again, weird experience. weirder still, is the fact that i was thinking about this thread the whole time.

Going through it reminded me of an article in the local T3 mag, "The World's Hardest Gadget", in w/c a Fujitsu Lifebook, Pentax Optio, Nokia 7600, iPod, & GameBoy were subjected to a battery of tests: Scratch, Rattle, Water, Impact, & Shotgun.

After the first four tests, only the iPod & GameBoy were still working. It was only when the Shotgun test was administered that they both became toast.
