fake as fake can be.

The whole ergonomics of it is ridiculous:

* camera attachment at the top - a micro isight (you gotta be kidding me)
* a dock? how is that supposed to track the pen (for the dock animation) unless it works like a wacom or something which can sense the position when it's near the screen.
* not to mention its just a cropped shot from a desktop since no one has eyes THAT good to see the miniscule text (moreso use the stylii to navigate through it)
* morphed click wheel - nuff said hehehe

Apple isn't stupid enough to implement such a lousy pda design

Its obviously not something that's about to come out for the reasons stated above but I have to say that is one great prototype/platform for a future Apple product: Cellphone, PDA, iPod in one. Minus the clumsy isight on top, the great touchscreen expanse could be the basis for a "screen based" iPod complete with the scroll wheel on the screen and then depending on the application called upon the touch screen can morph to cellphone mode or PDA mode. All the size of the current iPod. Maybe not now but how about 5 years from now?:2cents:

This hoax design came as close to the one I had in mind. Its basically the same size and shape as an iPod but with a virtual click wheel on the screen itself like PalmSource's Virtual Graffiti which you can hide just as easily to reveal more screen real estate.

They just better bring back the Newton that can run the same OSX we have on our macs. But that already is wishful thinking. ^_^
