Thanks, it's a U50, didn't mention it coz it's not a mac purchase (although it looks like a mac now, hehehe)... VPC was too slow to work with.
In case anyone's interested, I saw OEM Vaio mice being sold in one of the stores in Cyberzone Megamall. Wasn't able to ask the price though...
Isn't that just as expensive as the PowerBook?Originally posted by cutiepanda

It's about the same price as the 12" (HKD 12,900)... but with what I do, I need a PC to:
1). Check that my programmers are doing their coding right by checking on PC IE
2). Make sure that the chinese font settings in the CSS is properly done
3). Our company streams video over the net using WMV 9 DRM embedded into the website, bloody MS doesn't support Macs with it...
4). Our Project Managers use MS Project, I need to read their files
5). I got some PPT freelance work and the client is using a similar machine, good way of testing the deliverables
6). I can use a cheap webcam to vid conference with my wife during work
7). When I don't need production work done on my 17" PB, I only need to carry a 1.2 lbs machine that can run for 5 hrs on battery alone... hehehe
Other than that, I still prefer working on the mac... even trying to get our company to start switching to xserves instead of them damn LINUX boxes. But it's a hard war to win at the moment...
