Default Meet Bruce. My New G5! (Coming Home Pictures)

finally, after weeks of waiting in agony, my new G5 2.5 Dual Processor Mac has finally arrived!

out of the thousands of G5's that were released out of Apple's headquarters in california last friday, 11 were delivered to my local Mac dealer here in Vancouver.

and i was the first in line to get one!

    i got the stock Dual 2.5Ghz G5.
    1.25Ghz frontside bus per processor
    512K L2 cache per processor
1 Gig DDR400 SDRAM (expandable to 8 Gigs)
    160 GB HD
    Superdrive
ATI Radeon 9600XT with 128MB DDR video memory

i wanted to get the NVIDIA Geforce 6800 Ultra DDL - but i can't wait for Apple to build it for me.

in the traddition of Apple owners world-wide, we give names to our Mac like we give names to babies.

meet Bruce. yes, that's the vicious shark in the movie - Nemo. my daughter's favorite movie

Fast. Big. Naturally Vicious - Yet Gentle.

Bruce has been viciously rendering video clips and pictures in Final Cut Pro like only Bruce can.

ruthlessly fast in all the Pro Video Applications that i use ... and yet, gently quiet (my PowerBook G4 named "Frue" is louder) with its operation. thanks to the built-in "radiator" that cools down the dual 64bit G5 processors. ( http://www.apple.com/powermac/ )

i just want to share my joy here, and how Bruce would be able to help the virtual community that i serve in. - "for you. for me. and the entire human race." Heal The World - Michael Jackson

you can tell Apple loves to tease - this is just a card-board picture.

    Well thought packaging.

    that's all for now.

thanks for letting me share my joy.

So, do you have to top off the radiator once in a while ?? With water, or some kind of anti-freeze ??

    Congratulations !!

Oh man, congrats! Ingit ako sa iyo. I'm actually torn between that or an iMac G5. I'd prefer and iMac G5 but the problem is the video card, not powerful enough for my taste.
