    Default Mastercard Ad Mistake: Priceless

    Check out today's Philippine Daily Inquirer (18 May 2004 page D1). Look for the Mastercard promo print ad and check out the lower right hand corner. "Compaq Presario 2517 (2) winners". The PowerBook was 'borrowed' again. Imagine the look on the winner's face when he gets his Compaq: "hey wait. this is an ugly laptop nasaan yung nasa picture?".

    "Photo may vary from actual unit" Wahahahahahhahah

    or the graphic designer is a Mac user and would just love to promote/use the lovely Apple look.

    it always happens here in Vancouver where most Ad agencies are Mac based.

    what they usually do is take the logo away, they even go the extent of using the OSX interface but again, taking the Apple logo away.

    i take it as a form of flattery or as some might call - intentional booboo.

    Is this allowed? Compaq can sue this agency for using wrong product information, even if they have the disclaimer. :P

    Or the designer and creative director were just plain lazy in using the correct image. Carlo, how long did it take you to research the correct product?

    I'm surprised it still wasn't corrected in today's release!:P

    @Dinkydoo
    Don't report this to HPQ (actually its an honor for them to have a prettier false picture - coz their product is way too ugly!), lets report this to Steve instead. **lawsuit heading our way**
