Default London Mac Expo and Apple Retail Store U.K.

Well, I had just come back from participating in the London Mac Expo for two of the three days. Ok, maybe "participating" isn't the accurate word for what I did since I wasn't part of any of the Mac World Conference delegates but I simply visited the London Mac Expo to check out what the Mac World had in store for us Mac Enthuisiasts.

It was held last Thrusday Novemebr 18 until today November 20 at the Business Design Centre in Islington in London.

Honestly, I guess I was expecting something a little more "en grande" for the Expo. But when I entered the venue it wasn't actually that big. It was pretty much the floor area of the NBC Tent in Taguig but the ceiling was much much higher. There was only one main exhibition area and everything else were little hallways surrounding the main exhibition area which had a handful of Mac-related gizmos.

I regret not bringing my Pbook with me since I was planning to do an on-site report for Philmug while at the venue. The thing is I had to watch a concert later that night and didn't have time to head back home so I didn't want to bring my Pbook into the concert venue thus deciding against bringing it with me.

And quite surprisingly, the main Apple exhibition had about 30 Macs on display which were actually available for "limited" use to visitors. Limited, because apparently if you started accessing other websites not related to the main Apple Expo sites, the staff would shun you away from continuing to use the Mac. I just wanted to take a picture of the Philmug site on one of the Macs and once I reach Philmug the staff quite coldly told me to make the computer available for others to use and I wasn't even on the computer for 1 minute!

I really don't have time now to post the pics I took and give you guys an idea of what transpired at the event right now but I will do that soon and couple that update with the pics I hope to take when I visit the newly-opened UK Apple retail store in Central London tomorrow.

So sorry kung bitin, hopefully by tomorrow I can update this topic.

    Cheers!
