IPAD3 available in the Middle East

My bro and sis-in-law works in the middle east and told me that iPad3 is already available in the Dubai. Knowing them as a close family member makes the whole story true, i just need to reconfirm it for curiosity sake and the urge of buying it. If this is true, does it mean that they had it fist prior its launch in the US?

They will be back by Nov 29 and already asked them to take pictures just to be sure its legit.

According to the Apple UAE and Apple Saudi Arabia sites there are no iPad 3s yet so no it's not true. It can't be.

@coqueiro: Thank you for the response. really feel the temptation of seeing this in flesh. I was told that it has the hologram function. True or not, hopefully it does have this certain type of features Will update everyone sometime December midweek for any photos. Thanks again!

rickrude, apple never releases new products this way. there are many ipad clones and wannabes out there that may look like (or even be sold as) the real product, but we can guarantee you, from over 25 years experience with apple launches, that whatever it is, it isn't the ipad3. so i hope your relatives didn't buy something thinking it was the real thing.

I am also from Middle East (Bahrain) but there is no ipad3 yet here....

Dubai is 1 hour away from Bahrain and almost (if not all) all the gadgets out in UAE are also out in Bahrain...

I was told that it was seen after a technology exhibit in Dubai.

mmm.......why would Apple Inc. even debut a product in the Middle East? Most likely KIRF (keeping it real fake) from China.
