About LinkBacksi've seen one of these clear super view lcds on toshiba notebooks and they make my ibook's lcd look dull, they are super clear and pleasant to the eyes, i was wondering if any of the new powerbooks or ibooks have this on them. that would make me want to upgrade to a new one.

It's funny how Apple's Cinema displays are so amazing, ye their laptop screens are rather mediocre (at least the iBook range and 12" PB).
In terms of clarity and brightness, from best to worst:
17" Powerbook
15" Powerbook
12" Powerbook
12" iBook
14" iBook
