bought iBook G4 - wise decision?
I recently bought a used iBook G4 12" for Php78K. My friends are saying that I made the wrong decision and I should have bought a new ECS G553 for Php64K.
I'm running out of words explaining the beauty of having the iBook.
Can somebody help me enlighten them?
Thanks in advance.

I dont mean to be harsh, but whatever your friends are saying, you should have determined from the start what was the primary reason why you got an ibook.
As for me who have used a windows desktop and toshiba laptop before and now have used an ibook since April. I have always told myself, why I just switched just now, it should have been sooner.
Less worries in computer maintenance, less worries with always charging for less than 2 hours, less worries with viruses,
I am presently having my library of itunes music being streaming shared via network with my desktop PC using winXP and itunes for windows.
The reason why i switched is because of the battery life, of no problems with viruses and no problems with pop-ups, spyware and all.

the next time that they start ribbing you, just look up to the heavens and say, "Father, forgive them, they know not what they do."
if you're still not happy, then go on and say, "Father, into your hands, I commend their spirit."

Do what I do, simply just laugh whenever their Windows crash, BSOD's, gets a virus, etc. Follow it up with a snickering "Buti na lang Mac ako" for good measure.

I got this from a post in from Slashdot:
"...using Windows is like being with someone who:
- Only lets you do things with her approval
- Requires money once in a while to 'upgrade' her features
- Doesn't allow you to even think about seeing anyone else besides her
And to top it all off, you end up contracting a dozen or so STDs even though she says that she always uses protection."

show them expose (F9,F10,F11, while holding down the shift key), and keynote, and safari, and salling clicker and sticky windows and all the other great freeware for OS X. then you can open up your keyboard and show them how easy it is to install additional memory (up to 1GB at that) and an airport card. insert a cd into your slot-loading drive and eject it with the F12 key so they'd see the difference between a mac design and a PC.
if after all of these they're not yet convinced, consider seriously if you still wanna associate with them (joke!)
