Default Apple ASPs Prblem about NTC Permit Due to iDevice with WiFi Capability

Is there someone who turned their iDevices to your trusted ASPs since the last week of January until current date and still waiting for your items replacement??

I did and i am still waiting for the replaced item and most of the ASPs staff reason is due to NTC Permit regarding the itmes Wifi capability.

I have brought the item last Feb 2, 2011 and until now they are giving me the same reason.

Is it worth the wait or should I make my move already??:slanted:

A friend of mine adviced me to ask and if possible, file a complaint to DTI.

One staff of other ASP even told me that they also have customers ranting about it and one of those customers brought his/her item last January 26, 2011 pa and yet wala pa rin daw ung replacement item.

So i am in doubt to make a move since its not an isolated case since other ASPs are having problems too.. but since 2months is really long and warranty is still running, it seems unfair.

Well, since the NTC & WiFi was mentioned, maybe it has something to do with the NBI's intent to have all devices with WiFi to be registered to "prevent cybercrime."

There was a discussion on this a few weeks back, actually. Not sure if this bit of registration pushed through or not.

Either way, could be the reason why the components / devices are still being held while they try to sort themselves out on this registration thing.

If you're filing a complaint with the DTI, make sure you have documents to prove your case.

Also another thing you can try is call the Apple directly and ask for the status of your device.
