I heard that Xavier have about 3 Mac Lab. Thats a lot of iMacs, and i think they have plan to increase the number of iMacs.

yep, that's true. and a lot of teachers have mac notebooks as well courtesy of the loan packages offered to them. in the HS faculty workroom, maybe around 1/3 of the teachers, myself included, own and use their macs for their work in and out of the classroom.
there are 2 mac labs with about 40 iMacs used by students who are under the Mac-based curriculum, and one mac lab for the Chinese speech lab.
there's a rumor that xavier might adopt that 1-to-1 mac policy..in maybe about 3-5 years from now... might have this as a loan program to be paid for the entire four years of HS..... but it seems very, very likely to happen because of the current thrust of the school--using technology efficiently in the classroom.

one to one is a pipedream. i can hear the parents complaining now of the jackedup tuition. don't think even manny p would shell out for this type of an investment.
this will likely happen in brent or some other exhorbitantly priced highschool

I remember when AHS had 1 computer lab (the only airconed classroom in the whole HS). Our batch was the first batch to try it out because it was only offered to 4th year students. 3 students per computer.
I'm kind of surprised that Ateneo doesn't have the same Mac and PC facilities as Xavier. I graduated from Xavier and I don't remember having to share a PC or a Mac with anyone else during computer classess.
I wouldn't be surprised if Xavier had the most high tech equipment. They wouldn't need to raise their tuition, they get enough donations from the Chinese Taipans to subsidize the costs.
I remember getting an increase in tuition to subsidize the costs of donations to other sister universities though.
it's because the Ateneo HIgh School admin focuses more on scholars than anything else
seriously
ahs only has 2 computer labs with around 20 computers each
i remember sharing a computer with a classmate :|
super hassle
to think that our tuition was 100,000++ already
unbelievable
100
150
Grabe... we all subsidize everyone else at some level. We subsidize others in paying taxes
and we subsidize others in our tuition.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40
