registering apple care
Hi guys,
I just recently bought an Ibook 14" and it comes with the extended apple care warranty. I was wondering if we need to register the apple care warranty online with apple. If so, where is it on the Ibook. I've been trying to look for it all over and can't seem to find it.
Is it under the application window?
Kinda embarrass to ask this, but heck this is what this particular forum is for right?
cheers

did the box come with the Applecare Enrolment Form?

Shouldn't your reseller be able to answer your question? It's called after sales service.
Or did you buy this from a reseller abroad?

If it did not come with the Applecare Enrolment Form you are probably talking about the local built in extended warranty offered by Apple Singapore. You can browse here and here where this issue was already discussed.

All locally purchased units (laptops and desktops) come with 3 year warranty, which essentially is AppleCare Protection Plan (APP).
You will not receive an APP Enrollment Kit (retail copy). Instead, Apple registers at the back end for you, even before the unit is shipped to the Philippines.
Authorized Apple Service Providers can verify the APP enrollment based on your unit's serial number. In the event that the enrollment cannot be traced, your invoice should reflect the 3 year warranty and that should be proof that it came with APP.

I had the same question when I got my powerbook but Cherrie sorted it out for me. I think Elbert's post should be made sticky for newbies. I think this isn't made clear and many confuse this with the Apple Care that you buy in a box.
