    Default Pbook 12\", 15\" or 17

Guys i'm planning on getting a powerbook soon and i'm comparing the different models in the range. I'm really inclined on getting the 12 or the 15 for maximum portability

    Aside from the ff:
    1. screen size,
    2. battery life,
    3. Mhz (speed),
    4. fireport (800) and
    5. backlit keyboard

can anyone point out any more differences between these three powerbook models assuming that i get one with a superdrive?

Have you checked Apple for technical specs? There are some BTO (Build-to-Order Options) you may consider for your powerbooks (e.g. Mobility Radeon 9700 128MB DDR SDRAM video ram upgrade)

Got a 12" now, but if I'm buying now... I'll consider the 15" as an option.

For portability I'd say go with the PB12, nothing beats the feeling of having a "notebook" sized computer.

For screen size, go for the PB15, its such a great thing being able to see a whole spreadsheet or word sheet without having to scroll down all the time.

    Hi Alfa!:

What will you primarily be using your PowerBook for?

If portability's of paramount importance to you, get the 12". W/ Exposé, you can easily navigate through all your open apps. Its battery's charge lasts longer than its bigger brothers', which you'll appreciate if you're on the go a lot & it's the lightest to carry around.

If you do graphic design work, etc., go for the 15" as it affords you both the extra screen "real estate" & portability.

While the 17" is also portable, it's heavy. If you've been carry it around a while, your shoulder will start complaining. But you get to fully appreciate it during "projectorless" presentations.

It really depends on your requirements.
