Default outlook to mac mail and vnc software

Hi, just got my mac the other day and I'm now trying to move my files to the mac. What's the best way I can move my mail to the mac from outlook? I've managed to move my contacts. I'm also looking to move my calendar and todo list.

I'm also looking for a good vnc client, i still need to connect remotely to my pc. Hopefully from my mac

I used Outlook2Entourage, as helpfully pointed out by some PhilMUG members. You can check it out here. Although it's been tested only on Windows XP, I used it successfully on a Windows 2000 machine.

Jason, can I import the MBX files mentioned in the link you gave me to Apple Mail? I don't have Entourage. Thanks again.

To, DirectX and Maverick, thanks for the suggestions on VNC softwarre. I'll check them out.

Yup. Open Mail, then go to File --> Import Mailboxes. When asked to choose which format, choose "Other." Good luck.

finally got to transfer my mail to the my powerbook. it took awhile, combination of being busy and some trouble with software.

I couldn't get outlook2entourage to work on my pc. it keeps saying the the CDO objects on my outlook aren't installed. I tried installing the CDO objects, still no dice. Tried reinstalling outlook, still nada, tried transfering my mail to another pc and install O2E there, still no dice.

Finally my brother found another software called Outlook2Mac. The trial version worked but only imported random mail. I was prepared to purchase it but it would only accept paypal accounts. don't have one, can't apply for one because it doesn't have an option for philippine residents.

Good thing my cousin saved me and bought it for me. he has paypal. So now I'm emailing on my powerbook! Woohoo!

VNCViewer does the job for me. I'd prefer TightVNC, but they don't have a native version for Mac OS X, only a Java version for other platforms.

Can anybody point me on how and what software do I use to telnet or ssh into a windows machine? Sometimes the VNC service of our wintel server crashes and I need a way to restart the machine remotely. Thanks in advance.
