    Default Newbie wishlist

    Hey guys,

Im eagerly awaiting for the delivery of my new 17 inch PB, since its gonna be my first ever PB what are the usual stuff i need to get? I really dont want to go to ebay or something so I hope its something I could get locally. Right now I'm getting a backpack from Digital Waker and sleeves too..but any suggestions on what other things I could get? and how much do these things cost anyway?

    Thanks

isight - dont have one yet but its on my wishlist . Price? P10,000.

coolpad - so that your powerbook doesnt overheat. think its around 1,500 for the big one

iskin - makes typing much easier. not to mention protects your keyboard from all sorts of dust, food particles and drinks! price is P1,500

all can be bought from applecenter

I was trying to search the forum for a similar post but couldn't find it. I recommend getting stuff that aid in the protection and the performance of your PB. Then get the other goodies! Your sleeve and backpack are good start. CoolPad (around P1500) or Speedballs (around P600) to raise your PB and aid in ventilation. Check out and search this forum for other reviews for other mac gadgets that you'll need. And want!

Cogito, congrats on being the 1,001st member of PhilMUG!

I agree with the CoolPad and the sleeve ... do you have any experience with Macs or will this be your first? (a 17 is a great way to start too, although I still think that compared to my svelte 12, the 17 looks like a waiter's drink tray or the side door of an L300)

iskin - especially if you eat while typing
an external firewire hard disk drive - backup, backup, backup
K700i or any compact SE cellphone w/ bluetooth (then check out Salling's Clicker)
    etc., etc.
