New member and Mac user
Hi, I'm a new member and a new Powerbook and Mac user. I just got a 17" Powerbook G4 (1.33 Ghz) yesterday. I got it from a co-worker's friend which never actually used it since their stocks software didn't work well with the Mac.
I started playing with it last night and I am liking it (first time using the Mac)!
I plan to create a website to document my switch, to help others who are switching as well. I know Apple has a 'switch' page, but I want a site that is more detailed. If anyone is interested in helping me, let me know.
Thanks.
PS: I'm new to the group and this is my first post. I'm Reggie Suplido, a Filipino and woking in the US as a Systems Consusltant. I run a Palm OS enthusiast site called 1SRC.com (formerly called ClieSource.com) together with my brother, Joel.
Ditoy, I see that you are here. Musta! Long time no see. I can still remember our grade school days playing at your house!

1src. It shouldn't take you too long to get used to Mac OS X, you just might have to unlearn some stuff from Windows

Once you do though, you'll find that Mac OS X's interface makes more sense and is very "Drag n' Drop". Are you running Panther (Mac OS X 10.3.4) already?

Patrick, thanks for the support at 1SRC. Yes, I just upgraded to Panther a few hours ago. Since I didn't have much experience with OS 10.2 and lower, I guess I won't be able to appreciate the enhancements that much.
Oh, one thing that's getting used to is the trackpad. I'm still used to PC laptops where I can use the right part of the trackpad to scroll the widow vertically, as well as the bottom part to scroll the active window horizontally.
Is there a similar tool for the mac?
Thanks.

Hi Reggie,
Welcome to the world of MAC. hmmm.. You should visit your brother's blog more often. He has a lot of software recommendations for the MAC. I found out about Quicksilver, Sidetrack from Joel. He also happened to be my first year advisor at the Ateneo, a long time ago.
