    Default Mail delivery Subsystem

I got mail from the Mail delivery Subsystem [MAILER-DAEMON@nycmx01.mgw.rr.com] telling me that an email I had sent out had failed. Problem is, I never sent anything to that particular address. Could it be a virus? [Although I am very cautious when it comes to downloading any mail attachments].

Anyone come across the same problem?

I get that frequently. It's a Windows virus, running on someone else's computer sending itself out using your e-mail address as the sender. Your e-mail address is in that Windows computer, either in an e-mail or in the address book.

Just delete it. If anyone accuses you of sending out a virus, just tell them you're using a Mac, so it can;t be you.

    Thanks for your reply!
Does that mean someone can send mail using my email address? an email doppelganger?
