I doubt. Your external HD is in mac format not readable by windows. I guess you need to hook it to your PC and format it in windows.

@clcabatbat: I assume you mean for the Mac? System Preferences>>Security>>Firewall>>Set Access for Specific Services & Applications

you might wanna try downloading a trial version of MacDrive. this application enables you to access HFS drives on Windows. this might save you from formatting.

Ako naman is the other way around. I need to access a HTFS-formatted disk from my Mac. I searched the Net and found this software: Paragon's NTFS for MacOSX. Anybody who has tried this one? Or may ibang alternative ba?

I use a combination of NTFS-3G and MacFUSE (I think they need each other to work) on my MacBook. They work well for me.

Newbie question. Pwede bang itago yung HD icon in the desktop? How and where do I keep it?

I sometimes want my desktop to look clean or I just like my wallpapaer so much I don't want anything else in the picture.

Click on Finder on the dock...Click Finder on the Menu Bar...Preferences...General...Unclick Hard Drives or anything else that shows up on your Desktop (External Disks, CDs/DVDs)
